Today marks the end of another (mostly) successful training week. I was able to nail all of my workouts, and I slowed down my recovery runs... Intentionally.

I skipped my weekend long run in order to run a 5k. I just wanted to see where my speed was. I ran the slowest 5k I've run in over a year, and faded terribly as I positive splitted my way to a 20:23 5k. I don't have much of an excuse; it was hot and humid, but so what. There's no reason I should be running 5ks north of 20 minutes.

Wont dwell on it. I came home and put in 30 minutes on the stationary bike. I'll chalk it up as a lesson and get back to work. I've got a lot more marathon training to get through.
