Well after a long on-again off-again battle with these nagging injuries I am finally 100% back at it. The keys to my recovery have been: (1) rest, (2) lots and lots of prayer, (3) a gradual yet steady increase in base mileage, and (4) compression. For the last few weeks, I've been wearing compression sleeves and socks and the results have been huge and immediate.
Now it's time to return to work. Official marathon training begins on this Tuesday for my July 31st Jack & Jill Downhill Marathon (my first official BQ attempt). This will be followed by the NY Marathon in November, the Phoenix Marathon in Feb 2017, and (lord-willing) Boston in April 2017.
