I've now run 3 days in a row, and I feel like I'm 100% healthy again. While I'm running, I still find my self overly tuned in to my right foot and shin; hopefully, that fear/feeling will fade soon so that I can run without worry.
That said, I'm cautiously jumping back into Operation Phoenix. I can tell that my fitness has definitely taken a hit from my month long running break. But I've now got about 6 weeks to get back in shape. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I'm thinking that should be enough time. Perhaps not enough time to get in sub-3 shape, but enough to get in PR-shape on a downhill course. Breaks over - time to get back to work.
